Welcome to Troop 75!

Scout-Led

There is always a chance for a Troop 75 scout to be a leader if they choose. From Senior Patrol Leader, an elected scout who manages four groups of 12 scouts called Patrols, to Patrol Leaders, who leads a Patrol, to the Troop Guides, who help with advancement. We operate by the Patrol Method where the scouts plan and implement the troop’s fun activities, weekly meetings, campouts, hiking trips, and Summer camps under the guidance of adult leaders trained in scouting policies and safety.

Fun Activities

Scouts plan and lead a one or two night camping trip
once a month. Locations include Sunset Beach, Castle Rock, Angel Island, and Manresa State Beach. In the Summer, the troop goes on a one week trip to a scout camp in the Sierra Mountains, to have fun and earn merit badges. Every year we offer high adventure outings for older scouts such as a 50+mile backpacking trip at Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico, a 10 day canoe trip at Northern Tier, Ontario, Canada, and other exciting high adventure trips!

Life Skills

On their journey through Scouting, scouts learn skills both about the outdoors and life. Merit badges give them freedom to explore topics they are interested in.
Many parents and outside experts become merit badge counselors. Our scouts have the ability to choose out of 60 different merit badges, such as First Aid, Cooking, Personal Fitness, Engineering, and Personal Management.

Community Service

It is important for us to encourage our scouts to be responsible citizens of the community. Troop 75
participates in many service projects such as:

- Sacred Heart
- Sunday Friends
- Hope’s Corner
- Scouting for Food
- Kiwanis Tree Lot
- Memorial Day Flag Planting
- Eagle Projects averaging 2-3x a year!
